Reclaimed Craft Bristol x Worn To Threads bring you their first Sashiko Repair Kit Workshop.

Reclaimed Craft Bristol (Beth) and Worn to Threads (Izzy) are hosting a make your own sashiko repair sewing kit workshop at Izzy’s studio space in Easton, Bristol. During this 3 hour workshop you will be introduced to the Japanese technique of boro and sashiko mending and the basics of machine sewing to create your own repair kit.
Enjoy a cuppa and snacks while you learn and have a chat. Beth will take you through the process of boro and sashiko, sustainable mending techniques. Design your own collage from fabric scraps to sashiko together your repair kit cover. Izzy will take you though the basics of machine sewing to put together your own repair kit. All materials will be included, but if you have some fabric scraps you would like to use you’re welcome to bring it along.
By the end of the workshop you will have your own repair kit to repair your own textiles, new techniques, and a little community of like minded people!
Izzy’s studio is in Mivart Studios, Easton, Bristol, BS5 6JF - just a 6 minute train ride from Temple Meads or accessible via bus. Unfortunately the studio isn’t wheelchair accessible. This workshop is for 4 people.
